The Friends do not receive direct funding from local or national government. We rely entirely on income from membership of the Friends, grants, public donation and shop sales.
All visitors are invited to join the Friends. Through membership you will receive newsletters and know that you are helping to maintain an important local and national asset.

Current annual membership fees are:
- JUNIOR MEMBERS £2.50
- SINGLE (EMPLOYED) £7.50
- FAMILY £10.00
- CONCESSION (RETIRED, STUDENT, UNEMPLOYED) £5.00
- LIFE MEMBER (ONE OFF PAYMENT) £100.00
- CORPORATE /GROUP MEMBERS £150.00
Why not purchase a membership as a gift to someone? The membership document will come with a blank greetings card.
Gift membership can be purchased in the Museum shop.
To Renew
Renewal may be less or more than 12 months and is due in January of each year.
